Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed why he has not been as active on social media in recent times.
Davido, who holds the record as the most-followed African artist across major platforms, responded to a concerned fan who expressed worry over his absence. The fan had written on X: “Davido never post for over 3 days now. I miss my idolo.”
Replying with a lighthearted but telling comment, the singer wrote: “When u marry u go understand.. lol,” a statement many have interpreted as an acknowledgment of how marriage has shifted his priorities.
The 31-year-old music star tied the knot with his longtime partner, Chioma Adeleke, in a glamorous white wedding ceremony held in Miami, Florida, in August 2025.
The couple, who have become one of Afrobeats’ most celebrated love stories, recently marked their one-month wedding anniversary on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Chioma took to social media to share a short clip from their wedding, expressing gratitude and happiness for their journey so far.
In response, Davido dropped a heartfelt comment describing the occasion as “the best day ever.”
