Popular Nigerian singer and record producer, Young Jonn, has opened up about his stance on love, relationships, and why he is not ready to commit to one woman at the moment.
The ‘Dada’ crooner, who has steadily risen in the Nigerian music scene with his catchy hooks and Afropop hits, shared his thoughts during a candid chat on the Way Up podcast hosted by American media personality Angela Yee.
At 30, many fans expect celebrities like Young Jonn to consider settling down, but the singer explained that his current lifestyle and personal phase in life do not allow him to give his all in a committed relationship.
“Everybody loves love. I mean, love is wonderful. But, I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of me to one person. So, I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody,” he revealed.
The hitmaker further noted that he doesn’t want to drag anyone into a situation where he cannot give them the attention and emotional investment they deserve.
“I don’t want a serious relationship right now. Because I feel like I won’t be able to give that person as much as I’m supposed to. So why put them in that situation?” he added.
His comments come in the wake of rumours about his romance with Nikos Living, real name Adenike Adeleke, Davido’s cousin. The duo stirred dating speculations earlier in 2024 after Nikos shared several photos and posts suggesting they were more than friends.
However, by August 2025, the speculations fizzled out after fans noticed both Young Jonn and Nikos unfollowed each other on social media and wiped off pictures that once sparked their relationship buzz.
While fans may be curious about his love life, Young Jonn made it clear he is more focused on music and platonic connections for now, leaving room for love when he is emotionally ready.
