The Lagos State Police Command has successfully located Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, a 32-year-old man whose disappearance became a viral sensation on social media. After being reported missing on September 3, 2025, Mbadiwe was found safe and sound on September 4, 2025, around 8:30 a.m.
Mbadiwe reportedly left his Victoria Island residence on September 1 in his father’s car, a Nissan 350Z Convertible, and didn’t return.
This led his family to file a missing person report with the Victoria Island Police Division.
Acting on a directive from the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, police detectives began a thorough investigation. Their efforts, combined with valuable tips from the public, led them to the Mile 2 area of Lagos.
There, they found Mbadiwe in a distressed but healthy condition. He has since been reunited with his family and is receiving medical attention. The vehicle was also recovered during the investigation.
CP Jimoh praised the rapid response of the police and the crucial support from the public. He emphasized the Command’s dedication to keeping Lagos residents safe and urged everyone to report similar incidents immediately.
