The long-standing feud between Nollywood actresses Lizzy Anjorin and Iyabo Ojo has taken a new and fiery turn, this time, triggered by the pregnancy announcement of Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo.
Tensions flared after Priscilla, a Nigerian influencer and actress, revealed via Instagram that she is expecting her first child with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux. The couple shared a series of stunning maternity photos with the caption: “MOM & DAD, BLESSED • GRATEFUL • THANKFUL.” The announcement was met with widespread excitement and congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike except from Lizzy Anjorin.
Many social media users were quick to call out Lizzy’s silence, accusing her of being envious and bitter due to her long history of clashes with Iyabo. In response to the backlash, Lizzy released a scathing video, lashing out not only at her critics but at Iyabo Ojo herself, delivering a barrage of insults and dark wishes.
“If she gives birth to 20 children, they will all perish. Iyabo is a disgraceful human being,” Lizzy declared in the video, sending shockwaves across the entertainment industry and social media.
She went on to accuse the public of hypocrisy, claiming she was being unfairly judged for not congratulating Priscilla, someone connected to a woman she has unresolved issues with. Lizzy also maintained that she wouldn’t feign affection for someone simply to appease public opinion.
Iyabo Ojo, never one to shy away from standing up for her family, issued a swift and firm response. While she expressed a general desire for peace and maturity, she didn’t mince words in defending her daughter. The actress warned that she would not sit quietly while anyone throws verbal stones or spreads defamation especially when it concerns her children.
“If anything happens to me or my children, hold Lizzy responsible,” Iyabo said, referencing past episodes where Lizzy allegedly defamed her.
The incident has reignited debates about toxic rivalry in the entertainment industry and the fine line between personal beef and public disrespect.
