In what could become one of Nigeria’s most anticipated celebrity boxing matches, renowned music executive and artiste manager Soso Soberekon has stirred the pot by offering a whopping N120 million to organize a boxing duel between controversial singer Portable and online activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Soso made the proposal via his official Instagram page on Sunday afternoon while weighing in on the escalating war of words between the two fiery personalities. What began as online jabs and diss tracks has snowballed into full-blown social media chaos, and now, Soso wants the beef settled — in the ring.
“OFFICIAL BOXING MATCH PROPOSAL,” he captioned the post, tagging both Portable and VeryDarkMan.
“The street’s most talked-about voices… now let your fists do the talking. No more talk! Let’s turn this online cruise into real-life bruises! PORTABLE vs VERYDARKMAN. 2 mouths, 1 ring. Who go survive?”
The veteran entertainment figure went on to break down the financial offer, putting N100 million up for the winner and N20 million for the loser ensuring both walk away with a piece of the pie.
“I’m putting N120 MILLION on this wahala: Winner N100 MILLION, Loser N20 MILLION (Yes, even the beaten man goes home smiling),” Soso added.
He also proposed a venue for the match: the KFT Event Center in Warri, Delta State setting the stage for what he calls a high-stakes spectacle.
“Talk no dey finish, sign the dotted line and enter ring if body dey tell una,” he concluded, calling on both parties to make it official.
This isn’t Soso Soberekon’s first foray into celebrity fight sponsorship. Back in April, he pledged N20 million towards a proposed rematch between Portable and Speed Darlington, another dramatic pairing that fueled internet buzz for weeks.
With the Portable vs. VeryDarkMan feud reaching new heights especially after Portable publicly challenged VDM to a street fight, rejecting the idea of a rule-bound boxing match, fans are now watching closely to see whether either of the men will take Soso up on his high-stakes offer.
Will the fists fly or will the beef stay digital? One thing’s for sure, with N120 million on the table, this may be the kind of drama even the streets can’t ignore.
