Social media activist Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has sparked a heated debate by criticizing Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries.

In a viral video, VDM questions a sermon where Ibiyeomie claims God gave him power to make people “sleep and not wake.”

The pastor demonstrated this by telling a boy to sleep, saying no one could wake him except by his command.

VDM calls the act a “false sign” meant to make Ibiyeomie seem powerful. Quoting the Bible (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10), he labels the pastor a “lawless one” who uses tricks to gain followers.

VDM also slams Ibiyeomie for threatening to arrest critics, calling it abuse of power. He argues that real miracles are seen in surviving Nigeria’s challenges, not in such displays.

The video has divided opinions online. Some support VDM’s call for accountability, while others defend Ibiyeomie’s sermon as a show of faith.
