When asked directly by Irimia, “What is your net worth as of today?” the Benue-born tycoon responded with calm confidence: “Maybe about 2.2 billion dollars.”

Terry Waya’s reputation for extravagance is well known, often making headlines for his luxury lifestyle which includes multi-million-dollar properties across the globe, designer outfits, and a remarkable collection of luxury timepieces. His flair for opulence has earned him the nickname “Mr. Versace” among socialites.

Beyond the glitz, Waya is deeply rooted in business, with interests spanning agriculture, industry, and high-value investments. He also holds the position of Executive Director at GT Carbon, a company involved in sustainable industrial solutions.

Terry Waya first became a household name among younger Nigerians when his son, Kiddwaya, participated in the 2020 edition of Big Brother Naija. During the show, Kiddwaya famously asserted that he was on the show “for the fun” and not the cash prize, a statement that sparked reactions online and highlighted the family’s affluent background.

With this latest public declaration of wealth, Terry Waya once again reminds the public of his enduring influence in both the business and social spheres.
