Nollywood actress Iheme Nancy has stirred conversation online after revealing the reason she turned down a marriage proposal from a 40-year-old man. The screen diva shared her perspective on relationships and what she looks for in a potential partner during a recent interview.

According to Iheme Nancy, one of the most important factors in a relationship is financial stability, and the suitor in question lacked the basic markers of progress she expects in a man.

She disclosed that the man had no car, no house, and no form of investment to his name, a red flag she couldn’t ignore.

“Not a house, not even a car, no investment. You are looking for someone that is higher than you, are you not a criminal?” she said, questioning the logic behind the man’s expectations.

Iheme Nancy emphasized that she is not interested in dating below her standards, especially after the amount of work she has put into building herself up. For her, a man should not only be emotionally mature but should also be able to offer security and stability.

“You need to grow, you don’t need to go down. I’m looking for a man that is bigger than me in all ramifications because I can do somethings by myself,” she added.

The actress’s comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising her for knowing her worth and setting high standards, while others criticized her for being too materialistic.

Regardless of the opinions, Iheme Nancy remains firm in her stance, representing a growing number of women in the entertainment industry who are openly discussing the importance of ambition, financial growth, and personal standards in romantic relationships.
