A viral poster for “Colombiana 2,” featuring Zoe Saldana, has sparked debate on X, teasing a sequel to the 2011 action film “Colombiana” that earned $71.5 million globally but scored 28% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The poster, trending on X, depicts Saldana in a red dress with action elements, but sources told Bestlagos it’s fan-made, not an official project.
Despite no active development, “Colombiana 2” was on EuropaCorp’s slate in 2015, alongside films like “Valerian,” as announced by producer Luc Besson at CineEurope
The Viral Poster That Started It All
The poster, first spotted on Facebook before exploding on X, shows Saldana as Cataleya, the fierce assassin from the original Colombiana, standing on a beach with soldiers and explosions in the background.
The text “JASON STATHAM” and “COLOMBIANA 2” is emblazoned at the bottom, hinting at a high-octane collaboration. @Waploadedblog’s post, captioned “Not bad,” has sparked a flurry of reactions, with users like @BeEnlightened0 calling it “the only female-centric action movie I’ll accept,” while @ModisaneJoy questioned its legitimacy, tweeting, “I think it’s fan-made.

Despite the buzz, sources confirm the Colombiana 2 poster is fan-made, not an official announcement.
According to The Direct, a similar fake poster featuring Saldana in aviator sunglasses and a leather jacket went viral last year, fueling sequel rumors.
The original Colombiana, which grossed $71.5 million worldwide but earned a 28% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, left fans hungry for more of Cataleya’s vengeance.
In 2017, Saldana told Glamour Magazine she’d “love to make [a sequel] happen” if fans pressured producer Luc Besson, and EuropaCorp listed Colombiana 2 on its 2015 CineEurope slate alongside Valerian. Yet, as of 2025, no official production has been confirmed, leaving the poster as a tantalizing piece of fan art.
