Bill Gates Indicted in Netherlands? (Fact Check)

Former U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson joined Donald Trump at a rally in Georgia, less than two weeks before Election Day. During the event, RFK Jr. made a controversial claim, alleging that Bill Gates had been indicted in the Netherlands over COVID-19 vaccine-related injuries.

However, no credible sources or news outlets have confirmed these claims, and our fact-checking suggests this report is unsubstantiated.

“Another article about Bill Gates came out today that said he’s just been indicted,” RFK Jr. remarked at the Trump rally. “He’s been indicted in the Netherlands for lying to the public about the COVID vaccine, and he’s going to have to go to trial.”

He went on to speculate, “You think that he wants to go to trial here in the United States? Maybe that’s why he chose to give $50 million to Kamala Harris.”

RFK Jr.’s statements quickly sparked a viral reaction on social media, with over 10 million views across platforms. Despite the buzz, no credible evidence supports the claim that Gates has been indicted.

The Alleged Court Case in the Netherlands

According to reports circulating online, a Dutch court has ruled that Bill Gates can stand trial for his alleged involvement in misleading the public about the COVID-19 vaccine.

The case, involving seven individuals who were reportedly injured by the vaccines, also names former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, former Health Minister Hugo de Jonge, and other members of the Netherlands’ Outbreak Management Team.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf allegedly reported that Gates was summoned to appear due to the involvement of his foundation in pandemic response efforts.

Gates’ legal team, represented by the prominent Dutch law firm Pels Rijcken, argued that the court had no jurisdiction, as Gates resides in the U.S. Nonetheless, on October 16, the court reportedly ruled that it does have authority over the case.

The plaintiffs, ordinary Dutch citizens, claim they were misled about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines.

One plaintiff reportedly passed away after receiving the vaccine, and another, who is gravely ill, was represented by her father during the court hearing, as she can no longer speak.

The father alleged that his daughter fell ill after receiving the vaccine and expressed a desire to “speak to Bill Gates directly” about her condition.
