Oregon wide receiver Traeshon Holden was ejected in the second quarter of the highly anticipated matchup between the No. 2 Ducks and No. 3 Ohio State after an unsportsmanlike conduct incident.

Holden was caught spitting at Ohio State defensive back Davison Igbinosun, leading to an immediate flag and ejection.

The altercation occurred near the goal line, where Holden and Igbinosun became engaged.

In full view of an official, Holden clearly spat at Igbinosun, who was seen wiping saliva from the visor on his facemask. The act left officials no choice but to enforce the automatic ejection rule.

As Holden was penalized and sent off the field, frustration took over. He was visibly upset as he walked up the tunnel to the locker room, throwing his helmet in anger.

NBC cameras later caught him on his knees, distraught and disappointed in himself for the costly penalty.
