Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has shared a heartwarming update about his first son, Nino Idibia, revealing that the teenager has no interest in pursuing a music career like his father.
Speaking on stage during his 25th anniversary celebration in Abuja, the iconic African Queen crooner introduced Nino to the cheering crowd, praising him as a talented saxophonist but noting that his ambitions lie elsewhere.
“Make some noise for my son Nino!” 2Face said proudly as he brought him on stage.
“He said he doesn’t want to be a singer. He wants to be a doctor.”
Nino Idibia, born January 15, 2006, to 2Face and his former partner Sumbo Adeoye, has already built a reputation as a gifted sax player, model, and social media influencer. Despite his musical talent, he appears set on carving out his own path in the medical field.
Children taking after their celebrity parents is common in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Recently, Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife “Champz” Balogun, launched his music career at just 14 with his debut EP Champions’ Arrival.
But for Nino, the journey ahead seems destined for the world of medicine, not the spotlight and his father couldn’t be more supportive.
