The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has firmly ruled out any involvement in partisan politics, insisting that no amount of money can change his stance.
Speaking during an impartation service at Shiloh 2025, held at the church’s headquarters in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, the cleric declared that even a sum as high as $1 billion (about ₦1.4 trillion) would not persuade him to venture into politics.
Oyedepo explained that political participation is outside his divine calling, which is why he has deliberately stayed away from partisan engagements over the years.
Recalling past warnings, the bishop said he had cautioned the church in 2015 about impending troubles, noting that those warnings eventually came to pass. According to him, remaining focused on his spiritual assignment is non-negotiable.
“Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it is off my course,” he said.
Oyedepo also stressed that the world is in desperate need of God’s intervention in light of current global challenges. He referenced Romans 8:19, noting that the world is waiting for the manifestation of God’s sons.
He added that believers are being prepared as an end-time army to provide solutions to national and global problems, drawing parallels with biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel, who brought divine solutions in difficult times.
