Something is brewing in the Nigerian music scene, and fans are already on high alert! On Monday, Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid shocked his followers by deleting all his Instagram posts, a move often associated with the dawn of a new era in an artist’s career.

Now, adding fuel to the fire, indigenous rap heavyweight Olamide has also wiped his Instagram clean, mirroring Wizkid’s actions. The timing is far from coincidental.

Wizkid & Olamide Seen on Set After Mysterious Instagram Wipe - Are They About to Drop the Collab of the Year?

On Wednesday, a post surfaced on social media showing both stars together in what appears to be a behind-the-scenes moment from a music video shoot or an upcoming project. Could this be the beginning of a joint album, a long-awaited collaboration, or a groundbreaking partnership that will shake up the industry?

Fans have been speculating, with some believing that the two Nigerian music giants are about to drop one of the biggest surprises of the year. Others think it might be a collaborative tour or even a co-owned music venture.

In 2011, both music heavyweights dropped their first collaboration, ‘Omo To Shan’ which was a massive hit, and music fans can’t wait to get another banger from the afrobeats Kings.

While neither Wizkid nor Olamide has made any official statement, their synchronized social media wipeout is a classic strategy to build suspense before a major announcement.

Could we be witnessing the birth of a legendary Afrobeats and indigenous rap fusion project? Only time will tell. Until then, fans can only speculate and wait for the bombshell to drop.
