We know you deserve the best. So, we collated the best beach resorts in Badagry for you. Welcome to the world of water, relaxation, and fun.

Top Badagry Resorts

Badagry is popularly known as a major seaport for Europeans during the slave trade era. Now, its proximity to the sea doesn’t give it a bad reputation. Rather, it is quickly becoming a location for leisure and culture.

In today’s write-up, we will focus on the Leisure offers of Badagry.

Badagry, like other popular sites in Lagos, offers several leisure spots. Some of the Hotels maximised its proximity to the Beach and water body. So, what are the names of these Hotels? Where are they located? What do they have to offer? Read on, and you will know

Whispering Palm Resorts

Whispering Palms Resort is a 3-star hotel that offers you and your loved ones an escape from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. The key feature of Whispering Palms is its natural springs. Visitors can immerse themselves in the pools or simply bask in the soothing sounds of water trickling over rocks.

For my nature lovers, the landscape is a feast for the eyes. From vibrant tropical flowers to towering palms, there’s a lot to take in. The management provides guided botanical tours through the diverse plant life that thrives in this peaceful sanctuary.

Its accommodation offers vary from a standard room with all the amenities to luxury rooms termed Marina rooms.

As a visitor, you can get to the resort by Road or through water. Since Lagos state has established safe water transport, the resort partnered with some water travel agencies. So, instead of a 3-hour road journey from central Lagos, you only spend about 1 hour by water.

Whispering Palms Springs has a rich cultural and historical heritage, which gives visitors a more holistic experience. The on-site cultural village showcases traditional Nigerian architecture, crafts, and performance.

Other fun activities in Whispering Palms include a mini zoo and a games spot. Playground equipment like the seesaw, swing and others are available in the game’s section in addition to the presidential game exclusive to the Resort.

For a complete cultural experience, visit the free heritage museum at the side of the restaurant. The beautiful relics and masterpieces are worth your time.

Other side attractions are speed boats, the view bar, Barbecue spots, and picnic areas.

Sail Harbour Resorts Badagry

While Whispering Palms is a popular location in Badagry, Sail Habour Resorts is a hidden gem along the coastline of Lagos, Badagry. It is identified as an agro resort, located at the Agro-Ajo village. According to its website, the resort is surrounded by 2 islands and a 50-minute drive from central Lagos.

The resort prides itself on the maximum comfort and leisure of its guests. It offers a range of accommodations, from cosy standard rooms to spacious suites with views of the ocean. Each room is meticulously designed, combining comfort and elegance to ensure a restful stay.

Instead of the frozen and preserved agricultural products of typical Lagos hotels and restaurants,  the resort offers farm-fresh products for your taste buds. The resort’s website describes it as the ‘Farm to Table or Farm to Fork’ experience.

Furthermore, the resort has a community that aims to empower the locals with skills and opportunities to improve their standard of living.

Other leisure activities at the resort are sunbathing, exploring the beach, and visiting the locals.

Inagbe Grand Resorts and Leisure

Inagbe Grand Resorts and Leisure is an island resort that offers you the best of luxury and recreation. As the festive season approaches, the resort is ideal for your family vacation, honeymoon, or solo retreat.

While you are at it, take your snacks with you- the resort doesn’t have a store for you to get daily supplies. However, there are restaurants and grilled spots that will satisfy your taste buds.

The resorts offer recreational activities like Kayaking, Quad biking, swimming and just soaking in the charming scenery. The resort also caters to family needs, there is a play area for children and a shallow pool in the lagoon, and beachfront.

Inagbe Grand Resorts and Leisure is located close to Snake Island, between Badagry Creek and the Gulf of Guinea. You can only get to the resort by water. There are boat rides available at the Lagos State Jetty, Ikoyi. It’s a 45-minute boat ride from Ikoyi to the resort.

The resort boasts of friendly and accommodating staff members who will handle your accommodation needs. The rooms range from a standard room to executive rooms and chalets.

Crown City Park Resort & Hotel

Crown City boasts of its harmonious blend of nature’s serenity and world-class amenities.

Its rooms range from the classic room to the VIP room, there are also family rooms at the resort.

From delicious meals, exotic wildlife, and swimming pools to the garden area, you will be entertained. There is also a playground for children at the resort.

Crown City Park Resort and Hotel is located in Apapa, about an hour’s drive from Badagry.

Ocean side spot

Ocean Side Spot is a 2-star hotel located on Ascon Road, Badagry. The hotel boasts a water view, a restaurant, tranquil scenery, and a tennis court.

So, if you want a cheaper relaxation spot with a water view, visit the Ocean Side spot.

Popular attractions close to Ocean side spot are Freedom Park Lagos, the Cathedral Church of Christ, Tarkwa Bay Beach, and many more.

Oceanview Beach Camp and Tarkwa Camp

Oceanview Beach Camp was previously called Jay Bee Beach Camp. It is located between Tarkwa Bay Beach and Lighthouse Beach- about 10 10-minute drive from Ocean side spot. Furthermore, the National Museum shares proximity with the Camp.

At the camp, fun activities like Kayaking, sunbathing ( remember to use sunscreen), going hiking, and discovering hidden treasures in the beautiful scenery

Wrap up

There are many hidden gems in Badagry. Whether you are planning a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or a solo adventure, the resorts and hotels of Badagry invite you to a pleasurable experience.
