A gunman firing from a silver SUV wounded three men standing outside D&O Food & Liquors near 87th and Commercial Thursday night.
Three men are recovering in the hospital after a drive-by shooting outside a South Chicago liquor store Thursday night.
The shooting occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Commercial Avenue near East 87th Street.
Chicago police reported that three men were standing on the sidewalk outside D&O Food & Liquors when a silver SUV approached the group.
An unknown gunman inside the silver SUV opened fire on the men before speeding away eastbound toward 87th Street.
The gunfire struck all three victims standing outside the store.
A 38-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his neck and cheek.
A 49-year-old man was shot in his right calf, and a 32-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his left shin.
Paramedics transported all three victims to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where medical staff listed them in fair condition.
Chicago Police Department officers cordoned off the street and sidewalk surrounding the business while evidence technicians processed the scene.
No arrests have been made, and police have not released suspect descriptions.
Area Two detectives are actively investigating the shooting and reviewing local surveillance footage.
