Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives stationed around China Town near Ketu Alapere swiftly rescued a 12-year-old boy after a hit-and-run driver knocked him down while he tried to cross the road.
The incident highlights the quick actions of law enforcement in ensuring public safety amid busy Lagos traffic.
The officers immediately rushed the young victim to the Accident and Emergency Centre at Old Toll Gate in Ketu. Medical staff there report that the boy is responding well to treatment, offering hope for a full recovery.
In an effort to locate the boy’s family, the RRS team visited The Apostolic Church, Lawna Territory, where they announced the accident and sought information about possible relatives. Authorities believe this step could reunite the child with his loved ones soon.
Meanwhile, the RRS squad remains on high alert in the area, closely monitoring traffic to prevent incidents involving hit-and-run drivers and to deter traffic robbers who often exploit chaotic road conditions.
