Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Detained by Police for Driving Violation Before Game

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was briefly detained by police for a minor traffic violation just before Sunday’s season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, he was released shortly after and is at the stadium, ready to play in the game.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Hill was brought to the ground and handcuffed for about five minutes outside Hard Rock Stadium before being released.

In a statement, the Dolphins confirmed the incident: “This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic violation near the stadium and was briefly detained by police. He has since been released.”

Several teammates who witnessed the situation stopped to offer support, and Hill, along with all players involved, safely made it to the stadium for the game.

The video of the arrest has found its way on social media and has got people reacting.

“HOW you get arrested for traffic sht? Unless he was MASSIVELY speeding, it makes no sense” An X user said.
