Biggest Twitter Space Ever? Musk-Trump Interview Claims the Top Spot on X
Elon Musk’s recent interview with Donald Trump reportedly became the largest Space in the history of X (formerly Twitter), drawing in over 1.3 million listeners and 15.5 million tuned in.
“We are experiencing the biggest interview in history”, A X user said.
“Imagine if Biden and Kamala did a space”, Another Twitter user commented with a laughing emoji.
However, the event didn’t start smoothly. Many people trying to join were met with an error message saying the audio feed wasn’t available. The interview eventually began about 40 minutes late.
Musk attributed the delay to a “massive DDOS attack,” but he didn’t provide any proof, and the rest of the platform seemed to be working fine.
“There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on 𝕏. Working on shutting it down. Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.” Musk wrote on X.
Similar issues happened when Musk interviewed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on the site last year.
During the interview, Trump described in detail an assassination attempt he had faced and vowed to carry out the largest deportation in U.S. history if re-elected. He also talked about illegal immigration and his plan to cut government regulations.
The two-hour conversation, which was mostly friendly, didn’t reveal much new about Trump’s plans for a second term.
Musk, who once criticized Trump, praised the former president’s toughness, saying it was important for national security. The interview marked Trump’s high-profile return to the social media platform, despite the technical glitches.
