The 36-second video, which was obtained by SaharaReporters, shows the angry moments Uba shared with the workers. A man perceived to be of foreign origin is shown in the footage threatening to be paid for the work that he was hired to do. Uba responds by ordering the workers to, ‘Leave my house, I am not owing you,’ and as he reiterated, ‘I said leave my house’.

In the video, the foreign national is seen arguing with Uba and saying, “Look at me, why are hitting him? Why are you hitting him?” Uba in return abuses the man telling him to shut up and get out because he is a fool and a criminal. At this point, Uba is seen charging at the person recording the incident, leading to what appears to be an assault.

Many people on the social media platforms have been angered by the actions and conduct of Uba in the video. Comments on the incident vary from calling him a “tout” and “thug” to only hoping he would be arrested and comparing him to a Nigerian politician Ike Ekweremadu who was arrested in the United Kingdom.

One of the social media users wrote, “Him think sey na Naija him him dey,” while another wrote, “PRISON AWAITS HIM.” Other comments covered aggressiveness of Uba and scenarios for him in the UK, as the country has stricter laws than Nigeria.

Controversies have therefore arisen on the conduct of Nigerian politicians in foreign countries and its effect on Nigeria. Currently, there are remarks on justice and call for probing into the matter and even people are demanding that Uba should be prosecuted and made to face the law.
