The interview in which Ross interviewed Trump and asked him about the events taking place around the world and about world leaders follows the tradition of Trump interacting with notorious influencers. This comes after he has been making brief appearances on YouTube channels and podcasts that mainly target young people.

The livestream also gave Trump the floor to talk about his relations with leaders of other nations including North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and China’s Xi Jinping having it on record that because of his presence in office any negative effects of their relations in the White House cannot be witnessed.

Trump’s interaction with Ross, who is notorious for his rocky past and provocative performance on the internet, had something unexpected. During the final moments of the interview with Ross, Trump received a Tesla Cybertruck with a wrap featuring Trump after an assassination attempt and a Rolex watch.

The fancy gifts raised concerns on social media as to whether they violated the Federal Election Commission on legislation on campaign and gifts.

Trump and Ross cracked jokes throughout the livestream and even danced to Trump’s music selection in the Cybertruck. Trump also expressed his approval of TikTok, which he tried to prohibit as a leader of the United States and which Joe Biden’s administration plans to limit because of security issues.

Trump’s interview with Ross reveals his intentions of appealing to the young generation through famous Internet influencers. It serves as both a commentary on the future of political protest and a commentary on the current state of social media and influencer culture.
