A woman reportedly linked to the ongoing scandal involving Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), has allegedly died by suicide.

This claim has not yet been fully verified, but it has sparked widespread reactions and concerns as the scandal unfolds.

Engonga’s involvement in the scandal was uncovered during a corruption investigation that revealed over 400 intimate videos on his computer, depicting encounters with numerous women, including his brother’s wife, a cousin, and even a sister of the country’s president.

These tapes, recorded across various locations, including his office and hotels, were reportedly consensual.

The video leak has ignited massive controversy in Equatorial Guinea, making it one of the country’s largest scandals to date.
