Nicki Minaj Crowned Greatest Female Rapper of All Time by Billboard – Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Miss Top 10

In a move that has sparked conversation across the hip-hop world, Billboard has officially named Trinidadian-born superstar Nicki Minaj the Greatest Female Rapper of All Time.

The recognition comes as part of a newly released ranking by Billboard staff, listing the top female MCs who have reshaped and defined the genre through lyrical prowess, cultural impact, and career longevity.

Minaj, known for her sharp bars, dynamic flow, and unmatched versatility, clinched the top spot, solidifying her legacy as a game-changing force in rap. Following closely behind her on the prestigious list are Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, and Queen Latifah, rounding out the top five.

The full top ten also features MC Lyte, trailblazing duo Salt-N-Pepa, battle rap icon Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown, each celebrated for breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry and paving the way for future generations.

In a twist that has stirred debate among fans, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, two of Minaj’s most prominent contemporaries, did not make the top 10. Cardi B landed at number 11, while Megan came in at number 15, despite their mainstream success and Grammy wins.

Minaj’s placement at number one is especially notable considering she has never won a Grammy Award, despite being one of the most influential and decorated female rappers in history. Both Cardi and Megan have each taken home Grammys in rap categories highlighting the often-controversial relationship between industry accolades and cultural impact.

Still, Billboard’s list reinforces what many fans and critics have believed for years: Nicki Minaj stands in a league of her own, with a discography, influence, and global fan base that speak louder than any trophy shelf ever could.
