Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has voiced his frustrations regarding his strained relationship with Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and their son, Liam, since the artist’s passing.

In an interview with Silverbird TV on Friday, Aloba revealed he has not seen Wunmi or Liam, stating, “They know where I live. They are supposed to bring the child to me and say, ‘This is your grandson.’”

He also expressed doubts over Liam’s paternity, insisting on a DNA test. “I demanded a DNA test… let the court decide, and I will know what to do from there,” he said.

Aloba further lamented his disconnect from another son, Adura, who lived with Mohbad but has reportedly not visited or contacted him since the tragedy.

On the investigation into Mohbad’s death, Aloba criticised delays in the legal process and urged the Lagos State government to expedite the coroner’s inquest. “Delay results in denial… I am not satisfied with how the case is progressing,” he stated.

The case remains a point of public interest as fans and family seek justice for the late singer.
