Kick Streamer Johnny Somali Jumped and Beaten by South Korean YouTuber Yoo Dal-geun in Viral Video
A viral video has surfaced showing Kick streamer Johnny Somali, real name Ramsey Khalid Ismael, being assaulted by popular South Korean YouTuber Yoo Dal-geun.
The incident took place on a street in Seoul’s Songpa District, where Yoo, a former soldier from South Korea’s Underwater Demolition Team (UDT), confronted Johnny Somali, known for his often-provocative and controversial actions.
According to Seoul Songpa Police Precinct, the altercation happened early Thursday morning, with authorities receiving reports around 9:30 a.m.
Yoo was arrested shortly afterward, and Johnny Somali was treated for minor injuries from being punched and beaten during the encounter.
This footage has sparked lots of online reactions.
Johnny Somali has previously drawn significant backlash in South Korea, particularly after he was recently seen performing a lewd dance in front of Seoul’s Statue of Peace, a revered symbol commemorating victims of wartime sexual slavery.
His behavior has sparked both outrage and criticism, leading to intensified scrutiny of his actions online.
Earlier this week, his YouTube channel was taken down for allegedly streaming explicit material, though Somali claims his account was hacked.
As discussions grow around the incident where Johnny Somali was jumped and beaten up by Yoo Dal-geun, public opinion remains divided.
Some feel that Somali’s actions warranted a response, while others argue that physical confrontation was not the answer.
