Afrobeats giant, Burna Boy has launched a new career in filmmaking and has in a recent development heaped praises on Nollywood actress and producer, Osas Ighodaro.
In a trending video, the Grammy award-winning singer praised Osas for her theatrical delivery, noting that he recently watched her first-ever movie and was blown away. The duo linked up at the screening of an unreleased movie project ‘3 Cold Dishes’ which they produced.
In a social media post by the Nollywood star, she hinted at her involvement as one of the producers of the movie, alongside Burna Boy, who is the executive producer.
The news of Burna boy’s filmmaking debut made rounds a few months ago. Earlier reports stated that the music maestro is set to drop his first project as a filmmaker and an executive producer.
Several entities co-produced 3 Cold Dishes, including Spaceship Films, Burna Boy’s production company, and Black Mic Mac, a production banner that champions African and Middle Eastern talent. Other production entities involved include, Ifind, Alma Prods, Asurf Films, and Martian Network.
Black Mic Mac selected Afrofusion singer Burna Boy and fast-rising South African filmmaker Mandla Dube for the new film. Nollywood star, Osas Ighodaro also doubles as a producer and an actor in the movie. Other stars in the movie include, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua among others.
