Popular Nigerian socialite and cross dresser Bobrisky has reportedly been arrested by immigration authorities in Nigeria.
The controversial internet personality took to social media to announce the shocking development, posting: “Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o.”

The nature of the arrest remains unclear at this time, but the last significant event was his arrest by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on October 21, 2024, at the Seme border while attempting to leave the country. He was described as a “person of interest” and was undergoing interrogation at that time.
Prior to this, in April 2024, Bobrisky was arrested and sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse, specifically for spraying and mutilating the Nigerian currency at a public event. He served his sentence and was released in August 2024.
Bobrisky, born Idris Okuneye, has had a run-in with law enforcement for the umpteenth time. In 2019, he was arrested by officers of the Lagos State Police Command, allegedly over business disputes.
In 2021, he was reportedly detained again over an alleged unpaid debt involving a luxury car dealer. Despite these incidents, Bobrisky has remained a dominant figure in Nigeria’s entertainment and social scene, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and controversial takes on gender identity. With his latest arrest, fans are eagerly awaiting further details, while social media is buzzing with discussions on what could have led to this latest encounter with the law.
