Popular Yoruba actor Ijoba Lande, whose real name is Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, has left many emotional as he opened up about his recently crashed marriage.
The comic actor, widely known for his roles in Yoruba movies, spoke candidly about the struggles he faced with his estranged wife, Muyibat, detailing how their once-happy union turned into a heartbreaking ordeal.
In a recent interview, Ijoba Lande revealed that he had not been intimate with his wife for eight months before their separation.
He went on to share a particularly painful moment during their child’s naming ceremony, where his wife’s alleged lover was present and openly displayed affection towards her.
“At my child’s naming ceremony, my wife’s man friend came. They danced together to the extent that he tapped my wife on her butt,” Lande disclosed with a heavy heart.
The actor further alleged that several men within the entertainment industry had been involved with his wife, but he refrained from revealing their identities, fearing repercussions.
“If I begin to list those who have slept with my wife in this industry, I might not make it home before they come after me, because some of them are well-connected,” he said, hinting at the depth of betrayal he had experienced.
Fans and colleagues have since reacted to Lande’s revelations, with many expressing their sympathy and support for the actor. Some urged him to stay strong and focus on his career, while others criticized the moral decay within the entertainment industry.
